For urgent danger, contact emergency services or local police directly. For legal matters, contact a qualified advocate or the Legal Services Authority. For medical or mental-health emergencies, contact qualified medical professionals or emergency services.

Suryalayam welcomes careful, responsible and unpaid public-interest support from people who want to help improve public information, awareness and verified official-route guidance.
What volunteers may help with
- Finding and sharing official public-source links for helplines, schemes, legal-aid offices and support resources.
- Reporting broken links, outdated phone numbers or pages that need rechecking.
- Helping translate public-safety guidance into clear local-language wording.
- Preparing awareness text that reminds people to use official routes and emergency services.
- Suggesting improvements to Suryalayam pages, accessibility and public guidance flow.
What volunteers must not do
- Do not claim to be police, legal counsel, social worker, counsellor, doctor, rescue officer or official representative of Suryalayam.
- Do not contact victims, children, survivors, families or accused persons directly in the name of Suryalayam.
- Do not investigate cases, collect evidence from victims, promise FIR registration, promise legal results or interfere with official procedures.
- Do not collect money, gifts, travel charges, service fees or donations in the name of Suryalayam.
- Do not publish private details, photos, documents, phone numbers or sensitive case information without lawful permission.

Before accepting any volunteer help, Suryalayam should use this declaration:
I understand that Suryalayam is an independent public-information platform. I am offering unpaid public-interest support only. I will not collect money, contact victims directly, claim official authority, provide legal or medical advice, conduct investigations, or represent Suryalayam without written permission.

Do not collect Aadhaar, sensitive identity documents, victim details or case documents through a public volunteer form unless a proper lawful process and privacy policy are in place.

Submitting this form does not create employment, appointment, official authority, or permission to contact victims on behalf of Suryalayam.

We do not collect money
