Awareness Toolkit
Verified-first public safety
Public trust policy
Suryalayam follows a verified-first approach to protect users from outdated, incomplete, or incorrect child-help information.
Important public-safety details are published only when they are connected to official or reliable sources such as government departments, statutory commissions, police, labour offices, district authorities, courts, or recognised public bodies.
If any contact detail, office record, helpline, or service information is not fully verified, it is marked as Under Review. For urgent or sensitive cases, users should always confirm details directly with the official authority, emergency helpline, police, or relevant department.
- Forwarded or unofficial phone numbers are not treated as verified public contacts unless confirmed from a reliable source.
- Important records include a source URL, last reviewed date and verification status wherever possible.
- National emergency routes are shown first when a child may be in immediate danger.
- Suryalayam does not collect private complaint details through public toolkit pages.
Awareness Toolkit
Ready-to-share public child-safety tools
Use these posters, checklists and share cards for schools, churches, NGOs, resident groups, shops and local volunteers. These tools do not collect private complaint data.
If you see child labour
A one-page public guide for shops, homes, factories, restaurants, construction sites and streets.
- Do not confront the employer or trafficker if it may create danger.
- Note the exact location, landmark, shop/factory/house name and time.
- Call 1098 or 112 if the child appears unsafe, injured, locked in, threatened or abandoned.
- Report through the official PENCIL portal when it is a child-labour complaint.
- Save only facts you can safely observe. Do not publish the child’s identity online.
School awareness notice
A short child-safety notice suitable for schools, tuition centres, libraries and youth groups.
- Every child has the right to safety, education, dignity and protection.
- If a child is in danger, call 1098 or 112 immediately.
- If you see child labour, report through the official child-labour route.
- If the issue is online blackmail, grooming or abuse, use the cybercrime route and call 1930 for cybercrime help.
- Children should be encouraged to speak to a trusted adult without fear.
Volunteer source-check checklist

- Record the source URL, phone/email, page title and date checked.
